Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I register a team?
A: You may register a team by mailing in forms for each individual member of the team. The fee is $65 for every 5 people on your team. Therefore, if you have 10 people on your team, the total fee is $130, or $13 a person. You are unable to register a team online.
Q: Can I walk the 10K?
A: Yes. You may walk or run either the 2 mile or 10K.
Q: On my registration form, it mentions something about a chip for timing. What does this mean?
A: A timing chip is the mechanism that will be attached to your shoe that will allow the timing system to track your race time. If you would like to be timed, you will need a chip and should mark “yes”. If you do not want to be timed, please specify “no” on your registration form. If you do not specify, you will automatically be given a timing chip.
Q: When is race packet pick-up?
A: Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24 from 4pm-8pm and Saturday, August 27 from 9am-noon at the Covelli Centre. You may also pick up your race bags on race day.
Q: If I have a child under the age of 12, do they get a race bag and t-shirt even though their registration is free?
A: If your child would like a race bag and t-shirt, a manual registration form for the child must be completed and mailed in. Our t-shirts are in adult sizes only.
Q: When is the deadline to register for Panerathon?
A: The pre-registration deadline is August 25. All mail-in forms and online registrations must be received by this day. The registration deadline to receive the Dri-Fit t-shirt is August 19. You may register at the Covelli Centre on the morning of race day, but pre-registration fees are lower than day-of registration fees. Pre-registration fee for the 2 mile is $15 and $20 for the 10K. Day-of registration fees are $20 for the 2 mile and $25 for the 10K.
Q: How do I know if I am registered?
A: If you sent in your form and your registration fee, then you will be added to our registration list. It may take several weeks for your check to be processed and cleared. You will begin receiving communication about Panerathon in the weeks leading up to the event.
Q: Are there prizes for Panerathon winners?
A: Yes, there are prizes for winners in various categories. All prizes are listed in the “Course Information” section of this website. Please note that you may only win one prize even if you are the winner in two categories. Your higher title will supersede the other.
Q: Where is the best place to park on race day?
A: For those who get to the Covelli Centre early, there will be ample free parking there for Panerathon participants. However, last year the lots filled up rather quickly, so if you are planning on coming only a little before the start time, you may want to plan on paying for public parking downtown. There are several surface parking lots off of E. Front St. within a 5-10 minute walk of the Centre. Even more parking is available in the USA Federal Garages located at the corner of Federal Plaza East and Champion Street, one block north of the Covelli Centre.
Q: Where will the restrooms be located?
A: The Covelli Centre will be open for restroom use. The 10K course takes runners/walkers directly past public park restrooms that are available for use during the race. There are no restrooms located on the 2 mile course.
Q: How can I get more information about Panerathon?
